< < The mathematical beauty of fractals, lies hidden at the intersection of the spirit and matter. If you find the keys to open it they are closed in front of infinite worlds. >>
Lucio Casarol (1949) until the years ‘ 80 of the last century has limited its production to the design of furniture, jewellery and commercial logos. The meeting with Maestro lagad him to join the small group of painters of the Italian schematism. Casaroni gave an innovative contribution to this pictorial movement integrating the artistic processes, first with the computer and then with the filming, both intended as additional tools to complete the artist’s “toolbox”.
After a long period during which he was active in scientific consultancy, in 2010 he assumed the artistic activity, to which he now dedicates all his time and his works, which now range freely and without constraints of belonging from the schematism to the Geometric abstraction to the representation of an ambiguous reality different from that of belonging to the experimentation. Its objective is the conquest of a final form, unpredictable and surprising, syntactic but Asemantica, and which possesses intrinsic and autonomous dignity in itself. In recent years the artist has started working on new materials such as Plexiglas and aluminium with the use of light technology.
This new artistic phase is inspired mainly by fractals, figures that are in tune with his training (and profession) of mathematician, but who take the path for a journey still to discover.
